Sunday 6th May 2012
Leer información de la caminata en español.
The COTA Thames Walk is a day to relax and exercise; enjoying the stunning scenery of the river Thames, making friends and sharing a picnic with other COTA supporters. COTA's walk is an excellent alternative activity for the bank holiday weekend!
Join us with family and friends for this perfect bank holiday activity and help us make a difference to the lives of Colombia's most vulnerable children. All we ask is that you raise just £50 sponsorship - or more if you can!
All you need to prepare for the event is here (download the info pack).
THE WALK
The event will start at 11 am and will take at least four hours, so although there will be opportunities to stop and rest along the way; you need to be fairly active to complete and enjoy it.
We will follow COTA's tried and tested route which takes you out of Richmond Station along the Thames and into Isabella Plantation, where we will have a picnic - a great opportunity to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the plantation just before heading home. You are welcome to bring your musical instruments and help us create a good atmosphere during the picnic.
The route covers some uneven terrain, which may be inconvenient for those with pushchairs or wheelchairs.
If you have difficulties walking, contact us in advance and we will send you information about a shorter route along the main avenues in Richmond Park. Alternatively, if you do not want to walk, feel free to meet us at the picnic site.
Please help us invite your friends. Download an A4 poster here or contact Heidy for further information on materials available.
